Australian thoroughbreds · Weekly card · Sat, 20 June
We score every runner on Saturday’s metro and provincial cards. Three to seven horses make the cut — the ones in the $3 to $12 band where the model’s actually got form. Every pick lands on a public ledger before the race jumps. Check our work back to day one.

How the card gets built
We score every runner on the Saturday metros against our rating, cross-check the shortlist against market moves, and only send what we’d actually back ourselves.
A composite rating blends five signals we compute ourselves — speed, form, class & weight, connections, track & barrier — across data we scrape end-to-end. No vendor rating sits in the pick. Out the other end: a fair price for every horse on the card.
We compare each runner’s fair price against the live TAB fixed market. Where the market has us a clear overlay and the form stacks up — barrier, weight, track, the race-shape read — it makes the shortlist.
An analyst reviews every short-listed bet against scratchings, track conditions and late market moves. If the story doesn’t stand up — it doesn’t ship. What’s left goes out on Friday evening as the card.
The track record
No cherry-picked screenshots. No vanished losing weekends. Every selection, the price we saw at the time, and what it paid. If we have a shocker, you'll see it — and so will we.

What a membership gets you
No parlays. No "inside information" nonsense. No mate-of-a-stablehand theatre. Just the work a serious punter would do on a Friday night — if they had nine hours and a speed-map library.
Each tip lands with barrier, weight, jockey & trainer form, track bias, sectional read and why the model likes it. You know exactly what you’re backing and why.
Fair price sits next to market price on every selection. The edge number tells you how far the market is from our read — and whether the bet still stands up if you’re late.
Running profit/loss, strike rate, POT, and every tip we’ve ever sent. Updated within 24 hours of each race. If we hit a wall, you’ll see the wall.
The Saturday metro card ships Friday 5pm AEST — ahead of the early-market tightening. Midweek picks when we find a standout outside the Saturdays.
A calibrated confidence number tells you how to size. Our staking guide suggests unit loads at each tier — you stay flat-staked if you want, pressed if you don’t.

Straight up about where we are
The Betting Syndicate has been running public cards since Saturday 18 April 2026. That’s 392 tips on the board, 46 winners — and Best Bets alone sit at -33.0% ROI across 35 selections. No retouching.
We’re early enough that a single weekend still moves the headline — that’s variance, not the pitch. The thing to watch is the monthly P&L table: in twelve months that number will tell you whether the model earns its keep or not. Cards lose weekends. Good ones still grind forward.
Subscribe now and you'll have watched the first year unfold from the outside in. Come back in three and we'll have the first quarter on the board. Every tip we ever put up, still sitting on the results page, still reconciled.
