About
The Betting Syndicate launched on Saturday 18 April 2026. It’s one founder, one rating model I built over the past few months, and one rule: every bet we send, win or lose, gets settled in public.
I got tired of paying for tips that were wrong for the wrong reasons — dressed up with screenshots, missing months of results, and no way to tell if the tipper actually knew anything. So I built the alternative.
Why it exists
Australian punters have plenty of tipsters. Very few of them publish every bet, win or lose, at the price they actually saw at the time. We do.
Deleted losing weekends. “Closing line value” that inflates past P&L. Stake sizes that change retroactively to match the outcome. A curated results highlight reel that looks nothing like what a subscriber actually made.
Every tip is stamped with the TAB fixed price we saw at publish time. Stake and bet type are locked the moment the card goes out. Results get settled within 24 hours against official stewards’ data and rendered on the public record — forever.
How we work
Every tip is tracked publicly and settled at the price we published. No deleting bad weekends. No retroactive price upgrades. The results page is the record of record — and it’s free to audit before you subscribe.
A weighted composite rating scores every runner on the Saturday metro card. The same formula runs on every race, every meeting. No mood-based picks. No mate-of-a-stablehand theatre.
We’d rather send three bets with a real market overlay than ten scattergun picks. Fewer, better tips is the harder approach — and the more honest one. If nothing qualifies on a Saturday, nothing ships.
We frame tips as long-run expected value, never as certainty. Every page links to Gambling Help Online. We will never upsell a “guaranteed winner” because there is no such thing.
The operation
If you want to know who’s behind the tips, here’s the unfiltered answer.
Founder
Built the rating model, runs the platform, writes the card. Long-time punter, longer-time sceptic of the Australian tipping industry. Responsible for every tip that goes out — the good ones and the shockers.
Weighted composite · 8 form signals
A rank-weighted composite across PFAI, closing-sectional rank, time-adjusted weight-for-class, class change, trainer & jockey form, map favouritism and average-to-early speed. Produces a fair price for every runner on the Saturday metros. See the method page for the exact weights.
No offshore team of “analysts”. No secret informant at the stables. The whole operation fits in one head and one codebase — which is exactly why every claim on the site can be traced back to something auditable.
The road ahead
Months 1–3: ship the record
Stack up a real three-month P&L on today’s model. No new features until the existing ones have earned the right.
Months 3–6: tighten the edge
Add track-bias signals, rail-position awareness, and a second market source (Sportsbet or Ladbrokes) to sharpen the overlay detection.
Months 6–12: autonomous publishing
Push the card generation + publish pipeline to run end-to-end without human touch — so the only thing standing between a subscriber and a tip is the model and the market.
Every bet since day one is on the results page. Free to audit, always will be. That’s where you decide whether the work is worth $9.95 a week.
